Hello love.

Here I share my appreciation and some of the many things, experiences and individuals that inspire me and have contributed to my Earth walk, my healing, my finding my way back to my own heart.

The yummy words, ideas or images are here with the intention to spark something, anything, that will make you feel a yearning for aliveness and full of possibility.

I believe the state of our health is undeniably dependent upon how much LOVE we feel and how much joy we experience each and every day. Whatever we can do on a consistent daily basis to align ourselves with the vibration of love and appreciation, will have profound effects on our experience of true vitality and whole wellness.

This can look an infinite number of ways.  You get to choose!

We all deserve LOVE, APPRECIATION, CONNECTION and VIBRANT, JOYFUL, healthy living. The above poem is one of my favorites because it reminds me that I can surrender into what my precious human body needs in order to feel loved and really alive. It reminds me that I do not have to suffer or work so hard to experience what I want in this world. It reminds me to connect with nature to remember my truest nature.

There is neither good nor bad, right nor wrong, only energy moving and expressing.

I have come to know without doubt that loving my whole being, caring for and nourishing myself, is the way to my own kind of freedom and to vibrant health. Integrated. Embodied. Thriving.

Perhaps these words will speak to you too: LOVE HEALS. PERIOD.

The path to your wholeness is surrendering to this very knowing for yourself, on your own terms and in your own way.  It’s my pleasure to help guide you there.

Savor all the parts of YOU…especially your quirks; all your beautiful flaws. Genuinely love and appreciate them, for these are the tools you selected for your journey.

Yes, your quirks make you uniquely YOU and your personality the exquisite alchemy of the elements of your nature.

The things that ail you? Well these are here to help shine the light on some aspect of your being requesting your deep and kind attention.

Are you willing and ready to listen?

Wise Words

Sometimes we all need to brag.

Not to place ourselves above another, but to declare our contribution, our unique effort, our dreams coming true and our desires for “more please.”  To acknowledge how full and beautiful our lives really are. Our culture does not always encourage this, especially among women, but if we practiced acknowledging how awesome, resilient, strong, creative and powerful we are perhaps the healing that could happen would spread far beyond our own bodies.  What if celebration, of ALL of it, trials and successes is the key to experiencing more joy and vitality than we’ve been taught is possible.

You are important. You are a contribution. You are worthy of feeling really, really good.

  • Practice acknowledging yourself for how much you give, how much you already have, how blessed you are and what you desire to experience more of.

  • Appreciation has a special kind of magic. What is one thing you can appreciate RIGHT NOW? Let it bring you to tears. Those tears are healing.

  • Bringing your focus of attention to that of appreciation shifts everything. If you have others you admire, decide to bless them and their success and then sink into the truth of your own core desired feelings and allow them to light your way. What you envy reveals your most sacred longing.

Then...let go and let goddess and watch for the miracles & magic.

"Gratitude is the wine of the soul. Go on. Get drunk."

- Rumi

The vibration of appreciation brings you more fully into that of LOVE. Swim in it daily!

I have love and appreciation for so many teachers and seekers who have inspired me to continue on this path of living life well. It is said when you are ready, the teacher will appear. Oh wow do I know this to be true. I wouldn’t be who I am or where I am without some of these amazing human beings.

There aren’t enough thanks for my soul sisters in the healing arts. I am blessed with so many and all of them have played an integral part on my journey to remembering my highest self as I serve others.  YOU know who you are, old and new. As we weave the tapestry of our lives, it is my delight how you all come in and out, adding texture and light to my experience as a healer.

I transmute and redefine the idea of loss when I allow the gifts of other to add to the art that is my life, even if we no longer dance together in person.  Such is this human life. Transition and growth, entrances and exits.  I would have it no other way.  Like nature I honor the seasons of my life and the cycles it displays.

…..our souls know each other, they always have.  I am grateful for this continued deeper knowing...

Thank You.

Of honorable mention:  I am humbled by the gratitude I feel in my heart for Dr. Edie Vickers. She gave me a unique opportunity right out of medical school to practice under her tutelage. This was the jump start to my career as a Naturopathic physician and an artist of Acupuncture and energy medicine. She offered me a place in that family of practitioners and for over 13 years this “work home” helped me grow into the healer I am today.

Follow your heart’s yes, even if your mind has no frickin idea what you are doing.  It WILL change your life for the better, always.

In the summer of 2011 through the urging of my acupuncturist at the time, I drove to Vancouver, BC with very short notice to participate in The Awakening facilitated by Catherine and Duane O’Kane of Clearmind International. This empowering group process was the first of many explorations I have taken since then that have cracked my heart open, helped me shed the skins of my past and have transformed old “suspicions of self “ that once kept me trapped and small.

Sometimes we follow the whispers of spirit and it leads us down a path where once it is illuminated there is no turning back. I can’t thank Duane and Catherine enough for helping me begin to see and know my true self, and to know and see others with completely new eyes.  They now offer Awakening weekends in Portland, message me if you want to know more.

And my LOVE for Chinese Medicine never steers me wrong…
Let me fail if I must. The one I will become will catch me.” — Baal Shem Tov

Heiner Fruehauf introduced me to classical Chinese Medicine in school and to the Wang Fengyi – Shan Ren Dao 5 Element system of emotional healing. This ancient healing wisdom has completely changed my own life and has become the foundation of my work with others. In the summer of 2012 I took part in the Shan Ren Dao Healing retreat and another layer of beingness was discovered. I was gifted the experience of my first silent retreat, a renewal of my love and respect for Qi Gong and a shift in perspective that literally blew my mind and heart open.  I now embody a different kind of humility and a level of appreciation in my life that I had yet to know. I must thank my other Chinese Medicine teachers Dr. Liu Lihong, Master Wang Qingyu and Abbot Mingchan for showing myself and others the way to spiritual and emotional freedom by actively taking responsibility for our own lives.

“Change is not something that we should fear. Rather, it is something that we should welcome. For without change, nothing in this world would ever grow or blossom, and no one in this world would ever move forward to become the person they’re meant to be.”

B.K.S Iyengar

After more than 20 years as a student of YOGA, I have crystal clarity that within my dedication to this practice of movement, mindful breath and meditation I get to experience what it means to show up for my whole self. My human softens. I REMEMBER how to breathe deeply into my cells, to return over and over to the present, to listen and feel and know myself more intimately. My practice on the mat prepares me to walk through the world with peace and compassion in my heart. With infinite blessings and appreciation to my yoga guides, you help me surrender to the truth every time.

Thank you to: Sarah Robinette, Jill Case, Shaney Aalbers & Guru Singh.

It is my deepest desire to make an impact on how women care for their precious bodies and hearts, to create a richer understanding of this miracle of living, to help improve the state of wellness for all, health of the planet and our future generations.  A shout out to a few who have inspired me to go bigger...

More than 10 years ago I found myself meandering down a rabbit hole by following another of my heart’s nudging to listen in and up. Through my own willingness to expand my thinking, connect to my feeling body, educate myself and find things that inspire me...Nothing would ever be the same...thank goddess.

Are you listening to the whispers in your life?

Always follow your intuition, that inner YES.

Danielle LaPorte and her book The Desire Map has taught me that the way to more freedom, peace and inspired living is to get to my core desired feelings and always, always return to them. How we wish to feel is our primary motivation for all things in life.

Why do you want to heal, lose weight, find a mate, get a new job, go on vacation???? Why do I want anything? Because I think I’ll feel a certain way by the having of it.

When we think we are getting off track, if we connect to our core desired feelings and then take action from there, it’s as if magic happens. This practice has never lead me astray.

Less proving, more LIVING.

LOVE your sadness. It won’t last.

Celebrate your successes, even the smallest ones count.

“You can’t always choose what happens to you, but you can always choose how you feel about it.”  — Danielle LaPorte

Love. Connection. Ease. Luminosity.

These light my path.  What if YOU gave yourself permission to feel the way you really want to feel and be guided to action from there?

Thus far I been blessed to know many powerful women in my life who have shown me that to play big in this world is really the only way to go and that our health, success and experience of abundance as women depends on us creating a new story. Again, so many names live in my heart.
We must learn to LOVE ourselves like never before and step into our greatness even if it scares us to pieces.   WE MUST FIND THOSE TO WALK BESIDE US.  We all need community. Together we get to rise from the ashes anew.

All of the incredible women I’ve had the pleasure to meet remind me of the importance of a pleasure filled, JOYFUL, juicy life and of remaining true to my desires. They are shining examples that doing what you love and bringing your genius into the world only creates more magic and abundance than we can possibly imagine.

Who's in your inner circle, on your team, in your tribe?

“You must find the place inside of you where nothing is impossible.” — Deepak Chopra

Find those people who will hold you as you are willing to explore those depths.   Sometimes another provides the nudge that has you allowing a new perspective, allows you to begin to stretch into your fullest potential and then...

"There will be times when standing alone feels too hard, too scary, and we'll doubt our ability to make our way through the uncertainty. Someone, somewhere will say, "Don't do it. You don't have what it takes to survive the wilderness." This is when you reach deep into your wild heart and remind yourself...I am the Wilderness" - Bene Brown

Who are you grateful for?
What are you grateful for?
How deep can you swim in your appreciation?

Be that which you desire.
